Terms of Service

1. Introduction

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Hiup platform (hiupapp.com and associated mobile applications), operated by Olive Group Limited ("Hiup", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using our services, you agree to these Terms.

2. Definitions

  • "Platform" — The Hiup website, mobile apps, and all associated services
  • "Job Seeker" — An individual user seeking employment opportunities
  • "Recruiter" — A business user posting jobs and reviewing candidates
  • "Content" — Any information, text, or media uploaded to the Platform
  • "AI Features" — Automated matching, screening, and recommendation systems

3. Account Registration

  • You must be at least 16 years old to create an account
  • You must provide accurate and complete information
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
  • One person or entity per account — no shared or transferable accounts
  • We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these Terms

4. Job Seeker Terms

  • The Platform is free for job seekers — we will never charge you to apply for jobs, build your profile, or access core features
  • You must provide truthful information about your skills, experience, and qualifications
  • You grant recruiters permission to view your profile when you apply for their roles
  • You may delete your account and all associated data at any time

5. Recruiter Terms

  • Recruiter accounts are subject to the pricing plan selected (Starter, Growth, or Enterprise)
  • You must have authority to post jobs on behalf of your organisation
  • Job postings must be for genuine, legal employment opportunities
  • You must not discriminate unlawfully in your hiring practices
  • You are responsible for all hiring decisions — AI features assist but do not decide
  • You must comply with applicable employment and data protection laws in your jurisdiction

6. Billing and Payments (Recruiters)

  • Paid plans are billed monthly or annually as selected
  • Prices are in EUR unless otherwise stated, exclusive of VAT where applicable
  • Monthly plans can be cancelled at any time — access continues until the end of the billing period
  • Annual plans are non-refundable but access continues until the end of the annual period
  • We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice
  • Failed payments: we retry 3 times over 7 days, then suspend the account

7. Acceptable Use

You must not:

  • Use the Platform for any illegal purpose
  • Post fraudulent, misleading, or discriminatory job listings
  • Scrape, copy, or extract data from the Platform without permission
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or access source code
  • Interfere with the Platform's operation or other users' access
  • Upload malicious code, spam, or unsolicited communications
  • Impersonate another person or entity
  • Use the Platform to build a competing product

8. AI Features and Limitations

  • AI features are provided as assistance tools — they do not make employment decisions
  • Match scores, recommendations, and assessments are indicative, not determinative
  • We continuously improve our AI but do not guarantee perfect accuracy
  • Recruiters must exercise independent judgment in all hiring decisions
  • Job seekers should not rely solely on AI match scores to determine their suitability for a role

9. Intellectual Property

  • The Hiup platform, brand, code, and design are owned by Olive Group Limited
  • Content you upload remains yours — you grant us a licence to display and process it for the purpose of providing our services
  • You must not use our brand, logo, or content without written permission

10. Limitation of Liability

  • Hiup is a platform that connects people — we are not an employment agency and do not guarantee employment outcomes
  • We are not liable for hiring decisions made by recruiters or career decisions made by job seekers
  • Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim
  • We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages

11. Termination

  • You may terminate your account at any time via account settings or by contacting us
  • We may terminate or suspend accounts that violate these Terms
  • On termination, your data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts, except where consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction provide otherwise.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified at least 30 days in advance. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
